We are called as Servants to those who are needy and in darkness. Our Ministry brings them the light of the Gospel and ministers holistically to their physical as well as spirtual needs. To this end Daystar Dawning, Inc. an Indiana Not-For-Profit corporation was organized in 1982 to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of people. We are shining the light and love of Jesus into a sin darkened world of people who have many needs. Jesus came not to be served but to serve. When we serve and meet the needs of others we serve the Lord. The sciptures declare: "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you brought me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visted Me with help and ministering care; I was in prison and you came to see me. Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You? And when did we see you sick or in prison and come to visit You? And the King will reply to them, Truly, I tell you, in as far as you did it to one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these my brethren you did it unto Me," Matthew 25:35-40 Amplified Bible Our Vision is to have a "Daystar Dawning Ministry Dream Center Building" where we can minister holistically to address the total needs of homeless, downtroden, less fortunate, elderly, and needy people. Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer ; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, Isa 58:10 And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted , Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday."
